I haven’t been doing much plein air painting much lately, partly due to the weather, partly due to a commission I’ve been working on plus other commitments. This was my first outing of 2022. I kept it local and started a little sketch of St Anne’s church in Woodplumpton. it’s a beautiful little church and, apart from the side that leads on to the road, it‘s surrounded by fields as far as the eye can see. I spent a very peaceful hour an half there yesterday and then had to pack up. I’ll either go back to finish it in a few days or finish it in the studio.
