I have never been to Settle before. It’s a beautiful place. There’s a steep, almost vertical hill that forms a backdrop to the centre as you drive in and the whole place looks like it’s been cut out of a cliff face. There’s lots of nice buildings and the views over the dales are brilliant. You can see for miles. Perfect for plein air painters. A lady came out of her house to offer me a bottle of water and a banana too. Very nice. I hope to return soon!
